The Royal Enfield Classic 500 is like a blast form the past. Its vintage look will remind you of the golden age of motorcycles, while the strong 500 cc engine brings you back to contemporary times. The engine is not only strong, it is also pretty efficient and reliable. The single cylinder, 4 stroke, Twinspark unit has a displacement of 499cc and puts out a maximum power of 27.2 bhp at 5250 rpm and 41.3 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm.

The ride quality is assured by a front telescopic, 35 mm fork which offers 130 mm of wheel travel and a rear twin gas charged shock absorber with 5-step adjustable preload that offers 80 mm of wheel travel.

The stopping power is handled by a front 280 mm Disc paired with a 2-Piston caliper and rear 153 mm Drum brakes.

Armed with a potent fuel injected 500cc engine and clothed in a disarmingly appealing post war styling, this promises to be the most coveted Royal Enfield in history.

For those who want it all. The power, the fuel efficiency, the reliability and simple, yet drop dead gorgeous classic styling. The classic turns heads not because it wants to but because it can't help it. You will appreciate the beat not just for the music it creates but also for the muted feeling of strength and power that it signifies.

Quotes

Maxabout ---- "If you are a solo rider and need a spacious and comfortable bike then don't look beyond Classic. It offers a very relaxed riding position with front-set foot pegs. The solo seat is well padded and supported with springs which saves you from back pain on long runs. It has a wide handle bar which offers a firm grip which gives you a good hold of this bike. The bike has rubber pad on both sides of its fuel tank which gives you solid knee grip. The visibility of road is perfect and you can enjoy stress free rides."

Cycleworld ---- "The modernized, fuel-injected, unit-construction engine and redone frame seen here debuted in 2009 and were all-new right down to the maintenance-free hydraulic lifters."

carmag ---- "From riding test motorcycles for over five years now, I have never experienced a bike that draws so much attention from not only fellow bikers/motorcyclists, but also from the general public. You never get a thumb up riding an off-road bike or a superbike, but with the Royal Enfield I got just such a reaction from bystanders on numerous occasions. Sometimes we even encountered a small crowd upon our return once it has been parked, with several bystanders first asking questions before we could depart."
